PENGARUH AKTIFITAS FISIK TERHADAP RISIKO DEMENSIA PADA LANSIA HIPERTENSI

Pendahuluan.Lansia dengan hipertensi berisiko tinggi mengalami gangguan kognitif dan demensia. Melakukan aktivitas fisik rutin secara teratur dapat memperlambat gangguan kognitif dan risiko demensia pada lansia. Tujuan. Penelitian ini adalah menganalisis pengaruh aktivitas fisik terhadap risiko demensia pada lansia hipertensi. Metode.Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan deskriptif analitik dengan pendekatan potong lintang (cross-sectional), serta menganalisis data menggunakan regresi linear sederhana untuk mengevaluasi hubungan antara variabel. Pemilihan sampel dilakukan secara purposive, dengan melibatkan 100 lanjut usia penderita hipertensi sebagai responden. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui kuesioner PASE (Physical Activity Scale for Elderly) dan MMSE (Mini Mental State Examination) yang telah disusun berdasarkan indikator penelitian. Hasil. Penelitian didapatkan: ada pengaruh signifikan antara aktivitas fisik terhadap risiko demensia pada lansia hipertensi. Setiap peningkatan 1 skor aktifitas fisik akan mencegah risiko demensia pada lansia hipertensi sebesar 0.132. Variabel aktivitas fisik mampu menjelaskan 48% dari variasi risiko demensia pada lansia. Kesimpulan. Aktivitas fisik mempengaruhi risiko demensia pada lansia hipertensi. Saran: diharapkan perlu edukasi terkait pencegahan demensia pada lansia hipertensi.
